How HairMax Lasercomb Advanced 7 can help you fight baldness?

I waited and watched as my hair fell off in chunks. I tried a lot of remedies and was always disappointed. Recently, a friend of mine recommended me a laser comb, a device which I was totally unaware of. But now after buying it and using it for four long months, I can tell you all about it.

What is it?

To put it simply, it’s a laser hair comb. It’s a device that is portable and has been clinically proven to treat hair loss. The use of this device is going to stimulate the hair follicles on your scalp, improving blood flow, and facilitating the growth of new hair.

Using the HairMax LaserComb

Using HairMax Lasercomb Advanced 7 is very simple. You need to use it as if you are using a normal hair brush albeit with subtle differences. Unlike a normal hair brush that needs to be stroked over your head, you need to place this device flat on your head and just glide it gently back around half an inch, every time the device beeps.

What’s hot?

It’s not just another device that claims to be effective against hair loss. This is a clinically proven alternative that has actually worked wonders in many people. More importantly, I have found it a boon because it’s easy to use, and I started seeing results in as little as 2 months.

What’s not?

Its effectiveness in women is still being tested. For people who want a quick fix solution for every thing, the two months time frame for experiencing results might come as a bit too much. Also, it’s seen that some users might take around 4 months to experience the results. Apart from this, there is very little if anything wrong with this device.

Hair removal dilemma: Depilation creams Vs. Hair inhibitor products

Any process that involves hair removal from above the skin's surface is known as depilation. It involves methods such as shaving, depilation and use of hair removal creams. As shaving is not preferred by many because of the coarse stubble it leaves behind, depilation creams is the next best option for temporary hair removal. Hair inhibitor solutions contain mild, natural ingredients that work by penetrating your hair follicles and disabling the cells that are responsible for hair growth. This means your hair growth is stunted and you don't have to shave or use creams as often.

Advantages of depilation creams

Unlike shaving and other temporary methods to remove hair that removes hair from the surface, depilation creams destroys the hair from the root. The effect of these creams last for more days, so you can enjoy hair-free, smooth skin for several days to come. Good quality creams contain chemicals that dissolve keratin, a protein in the hair, and several soothing agents so that you don't have to deal with rashes and other allergies caused by chemicals.

CC Depilation Cream is a good product contain calming essential oils, so you don't have to worry about any side effects.

Advantages of hair inhibitor sprays

Hair inhibitors stunt hair growth by changing the structure of your hair follicles. The hair that does grow back after using these products is finer and lighter. Eventually your hair become so fine that is not noticeable and obvious. Simply apply hair inhibitors after using any depilation method and you will notice significant intervals between your hair removal sessions.

Ultra Hair Away is the most popular hair inhibitor spray, fondly known as 'Baldness in Bottle' by those who use it.

So which is better?

A combination of using depilation creams and hair inhibitors is the best way to go about hair removal. You can't say one method is better than the other; both the products are complimentary to each other, not alternatives.

5 quick tips to look younger

Many people constantly look for ways that will make them look young forever. They wish to remain unaffected by the passage of time. People who are beautiful in their youth try to stop ageing and maintain their youthful appearance for a long time.

Microdermabrasion

Hairstyle
Rather than sticking to your high school hairstyle, you can have a more carefree look. You will look much younger this way. If you are really concerned about your hair, you can visit a hairdresser for a makeover.

Fragrance
A fresh and young scent will make you feel younger. A youthful spice with fragrance will make you feel and perhaps even look at least 5-6 years younger than you actually are.

Lighting
You will look years younger in unflattering, bright light. Install light dimmers in your home and this will create an environment of love and compassion. This will make you feel younger.

Makeup
When all else fails, cheat. You may use a makeup primer after applying a moisturizer so that the lines on your face are filled. Skin Doctors Superceutical Face Lift Cream is very effective in treating fine lines and wrinkles. Another cream that has gained reputation in the domain of skin care is Skin Doctors fade away.

What is tanning and how does it occur?

The process of tanning takes place in the epidermis, the outermost layer of the skin. There are 5 million special cells known as melanocytes present in the epidermis. Exposure to UVB radiation from the sun enables melanocytes to produce melanin, the pigment that determines the colour of the skin. Melanin is absorbed by other cells on the surface of the skin. When melanin is exposed to UVA radiation, it oxidizes and darkens the skin, which acts as a barrier against excessive UV exposure. The amount of melanin produced by the melanocytes is determined by heredity. For instance, Caucasian skin has low levels of melanin and is therefore much paler than Hispanic or African skin.

What is sunless tanning?

Tanning can take place naturally by spending long hours in the sun or can be induced by artificial means such as lotions, sprays, pills, tanning beds or lamps. Also known as fake tanning, self tanning or UV-free tanning, mimics the appearance and effects of the traditional suntan. Sunless tanning methods were developed as a response to concerns about excessive sun exposure being a major cause of skin cancer and sunburn. There are a number of sunless tanning methods that tan the skin in every shade of brown. Sunless tanning is a safe, quick and convenient way of getting a UV-free tan.

How do tanning beds work?

Tanning beds as well as tanning booths work the same way the sun does. Both use UVB as well as UVC rays to work their effects but avoid UVA rays, as they are considered to be harmful for the skin. A tan produced by a tanning bed is as deep as one produced by exposure to the sun on a typical day in summer. Tanning beds require shorter exposure times because of the nearness of the source of UV. Regular sessions on a tanning bed often work better for people with extremely fair skin. The results of tanning beds are visible in a couple of weeks. There are a number of professional tanning salons that help in acquiring an evenly bronzed look. Or one can buy a personal home tanning bed, but this is a more expensive option. Excessive tanning indoors as well as outdoors is to be avoided as it can lead to over-exposure and sunburn. It can also make a person vulnerable to skin cancer. However, no scientific evidence is available to prove that the adverse effects of excessive use of tanning beds are worse than those of over-exposure to the sun.

Are tanning lotions effective?

Unlike sun block, tanning lotions are meant to intensify the effect of ultraviolet (UV) radiation. This is done by using ingredients that encourage melanin production or by promoting the levels of melanin in the epidermis. A large number of tanning lotions are based on the active ingredient dihydroxyacetone (DHA) and contain other ingredients including melanin, tea tree oil, L-tyrosine, green tea extract and natural oils. Tanning lotions work somewhat differently from other methods of sunless tanning. They are most often designed to stimulate the process of tanning. Tanning lotion is an inexpensive method of sunless tanning available today and is quick and convenient to use.

Why are tan sprays so popular?

It is now possible to spray on a tan in special tanning booths or by using a hand-held piece of equipment that resembles an airbrush. A spray tan not only spurs the process of tanning, it also helps in avoiding exposure to harmful ultraviolet radiation. The effects of spray tan are short-lived and can be washed off with soap and water. Spray tanning is popular because it doesn’t cost much and is extremely convenient to use.

How do tanning pills work?

Canthaxanthin, a key ingredient in tanning pills, is a chemical that is found in a number of animals and plants. However, just like carotene, it can tint the skin brownish-orange if taken in excessive amounts. The colour alteration lasts as long as the pills are taken. Tanning pills are based on the principle of ingesting chemicals that alter the natural pigmentation of the skin. These pills belong to 2 categories. The first category of pills relies on UV exposure to boost melanin production, while the second does not.

In conclusion

Regardless of the product used, sunless tanning methods work faster than traditional sun bathing and are generally deemed to be safer. The composition, ingredients and method of application of each product is different and needs to be understood thoroughly before use. As in everything, moderation is the key to a healthy tanning experience.

Forcing the toxins out

Regular exercise is going to help you force some of the toxins out of your body. Some of these toxins can be contributing to your acne problem. The logic behind this is very simple. When you exercise, you are going to sweat. This sweating is going to get those toxins out of your body.

Sarah says yes to Acnezine and no to acne

I have been suffering from acne since the time I was born. No, that's not quite true, but it seems I have been suffering from such a long time. Over the years I have tried almost everything that science has offered me against this pesky and at times painful problem, but I haven't found the kind of acne treatment I can rely upon. This was until I came across a product called Acnezine.

What is Acnezine?

This fast acting topical cream, made up entirely of natural ingredients, works against acne that is above your skin and also get rid of acne that is hiding under your skin. This is essentially a combination therapy that includes a cream and pills. You need to apply the cream containing benzerol peroxide to the area affected by acne and at the same time take one Acnezine pill every day. This combination helped me get rid of acne and at the same time made sure that all the impurities that can stimulate the recurrence of acne were removed from my body.

Should you go for it?

I am sure you have spent sleepless night thinking about how you are going to get rid of your acne. There are plenty of options available for this purpose such as the Trioxil acne gel. But, you need to choose the kind of option that suits your needs and requirements. I chose Acnezine because it gave me a natural solution for my problem. As far as its negatives are concerned, I did experience some dryness and itching earlier on, but all I did was reduce the time I applied this cream. Problem solved.

Whether you go for this cream or not is entirely your decision. All I ask you to do is take an informed decision while doing so.

About Sarah: Being a network administrator, Sarah's work hours are never fixed. She works in varying shifts, which makes her diet and sleep routines very irregular. Probably, this is the cause of her acne. In her quest of finding a good acne solution, she spent not only a good deal of money but also some of her peace. Acnezine's effectiveness drove her to find some time in her busy schedule and write about it.

Fungal skin infections – Learn about its prevention and treatment

Fungal infections can affect anybody irrespective of gender or age. These skin infections are caused by various fungi and treatment is available in the form of various topical gels, creams and even pills. But like in the case of every other medical condition, prevention is always better than cure when it comes to fungal infections of the skin.

Prevention of fungal skin infections

There are a few steps you can take to reduce chances of suffering from such infections. If you dry your skin carefully after a bath, and don't walk barefoot in communal areas such as swimming pools, you are decreasing your chances of suffering from infections such as fungal nail infections. Also, if you allow your skin to breathe by wearing clothes made from natural fibres instead of synthetic fibres, you are doing a great service to your skin, leaving very little scope for the growth of fungus. It's important to maintain a hygienic lifestyle and keep your body clean to ensure a skin that is not vulnerable to such skin infections.

Treatment of fungal skin infections

Most of the fungal infections affect only the surface of your skin, and can be treated by using anti-fungal treatments that are topical and that need to be applied directly over the area that is infected. Treatment includes creams, powders and even lotions. If the spread of the infection is over a large area, a doctor can also prescribe oral medications to be used alongwith the topical treatment options.

Treatment for fungal skin infections should not be confused with treatments such as ringworm treatments that are essentially for treatment for internal parasites. It's important to talk to your doctor about your infection and work together to find a treatment for your condition.

Excess water retention may lead to acne

When a buildup of water in the spaces between cells and tissues occurs, it is known as water retention. Water may begin to leak into the surrounding tissues when excess pressure is put on the blood vessels. There are various factors, which lead to water retention. One of the biggest causes is actually insufficient water intake. When your body is deprived of adequate amount of water, it starts storing water in the tissues. If you replenish your body with water regularly, it will stop storing water for survival.

Diet plays an important role in retention of water. Among all other causes that are food related, salt is a major one.

Excess of processed salt in the body causes water to come out of the cells and dilute the salt. You should drink a lot of fresh water in order to remove this salt. Excess salt can be flushed out of your kidneys and liver. Other liquids and foods such as sugar and alcohol cause retention by putting an extra load on your kidneys and slow down the function of the kidneys. Water retention leads to many kidney diseases as well.

Acne is caused by water retention as the skin pores are blocked and the bacteria present in the pores mixes with oil and other toxins. There are various types of acne treatments available on the market, out of only a few are effective. Skin doctors Zit Zapper helps eliminate acne fast.

Smooth, silky and hair free skin with Silk'n SensEpil – Product review

I have always been a sucker for pain free removal of hair and that too whose affects last for a long time. For this reason, I have used a number of products, some of them good and others that let's just say weren't up to the mark. So, when I heard about the new new home hair removal system I wasn't exactly over the moon. I wanted to reserve my judgment before I actually used it.

What is the Silk'n SensEpil?

This device uses intense pulsed light technology to help remove unwanted hair from your body. This is why, it's also called IPL hair removal. It is a clinically proven technology and has been used by salons across the world as a part of their hair removal arsenal. Now, the Silk'n SensEpil has brought this technology to your home. It works by emitting 750 pulses of light, which is absorbed by the melanin on the hair. This in turn, damages the hair follicle and it can no longer produce new hair.

What are the benefits?

When I used this for the first time I was actually worried whether I can use it easily and whether its convenient. But the “worry” disappeared as soon as I used it for the first time. Its design is such that you can remove unwanted hair from any part of your body and it's easily operable. It also proved my initial skeptical reaction about its efficiency wrong, as it is really effective. If you are anything like me (can't stand pain and mess), you won't have to go far looking for options.

Should I go for it?

There are 3 reasons you can go for it – 1) it's not messy and very easy to use, 2) it's claim of permanent hair removal is well founded and approved by the FDA and 3) it's absolutely painless. But there is also one reason why you shouldn't go for it and that's because it takes two weeks for your hair to fall out after treatment. People looking for instant results won't be happy with this.

Herbal extracts that get rid of skin infections

If you are suffering from skin infections, there are many herbal extracts that you can use to get rid of them. These herbal products contain herbal extracts that have been used for centuries to treat and alleviate the symptoms of various skin infections. These products are popularly used for treating such infections because you don't suffer from any side effects on using them.

Recommended herbal extracts

Chamomile has anti inflammatory and anti bacterial properties and is one of the effective acne remedies going around. It can also be used for the treatment of various types of skin irritation. Other popular herbal extract is tea tree oil, which also helps alleviate acne, and is a part of many herbal products like soaps and creams, used for its soothing properties. Another commonly used herbal extract is Aloe Vera, which has been used for the treatment of various skin infections since the time its medicinal properties were discovered.

The list of herbal extracts is never ending. There are even herbal extracts that help you get rid of a parasitic infection such an ringworm. A thorough research of the market will help you get a fair idea of the commonly used herbal treatment solutions for skin infections.

Nothing beats prevention

There might be a solution for most skin infections but nothing beats taking necessary precautions, that will help you avoid infections such as ringworm, tapeworm, athlete's foot and various other altogether. Prevention is not that difficult and only requires you to take care of your overall hygiene. Do that, and you will find that you don't suffer from infections at all.

Don't panic when exposed to genital warts – Search for a treatment instead

The very name 'sexually transmitted diseases' conjures up images of ugly looking growths on your genital area, zero sex till you undergo treatment and looks of disgust from your partners. That's why you might panic if you think you have been exposed to genital warts.

Don't ignore it

Do anything, but don't ignore your condition. Don't have this misconception that you are not suffering from genital warts because you don't see any warts on your skin. The absence of lesions doesn't mean that you don't need genital warts treatment. Consult your doctor about a treatment option if you think you have been exposed to someone who has genital warts. The worst step of action you can take is to ignore such an exposure.

Exercising care

If you have been exposed, you now need to start taking care. You need to undergo a thorough diagnosis and keep checking for signs of an infection. Also, unless you are really sure about the fact that you are not infected, you shouldn't have sexual intercourse with anybody. Don't think that your regular intake of medication such as Wartrol or for that matter any other medication that might have been recommended by your doctor is going to make you immune to this problem. Be on guard for the recurrence of this problem.

If you have actually contracted this disease, you will be able to learn more about it. It sounds like a dangerous way to become aware about such a condition. But the saying once bitten twice shy is a saying that applies best to this condition.

Is Acne Outbreak a Symptom of Stress?

The connection between stress and acne has long been a topic of discussion with no conclusive results. However, a study carried out on students suffering from acne, did reveal that acne does have a tendency to worsen in situations that bring about extreme stress. It is strongly believed that acne appearances do increase during stressful situations. This however is not a surprising revelation to the millions of people who suffer from it even if the correlation between stress and acne had not been proven earlier.

Stress hormones lead to acne

It is understood that stress can cause your adrenal glands to produce male hormones, both testosterone and androgens. These male hormones then cause the sebaceous glands to produce more sebum, an oily substance. Increased production of this oily substance, when combined with dead skin cells, clogs the pores; this triggers a serious acne outbreak. Acne has no gender bias; it affects both the males and females alike.

Acne leads to stress and several other problems

Although acne is believed to be a symptom of stress, acne itself can also cause a lot of stress; they simply ‘pop up’ overnight, causing blemishes on your face. To prevent a further onslaught of acne, many people opt for acne treatment. Acne as a condition is most hated because it impacts your life negatively. People with acne often suffer from embarrassment and low self-esteem because they believe in the myth that poor hygiene causes acne. But, rest assured, there is absolutely no grain of truth in this misguided notion.

Acne treatment and stress management – Effective solution

When living in a world where enormous value is placed on beauty, acne can lead to a lot of stress in people having it. However with the timely use of acne remedies, people can get back their self-confidence and reclaim their social life. Since a relationship between acne and stress does exist, stress management may be an effective method to control future acne outbreaks.
